30, 20, 10, or 5?
First before you set up a tank, you must kno what size tank you want. If this is a first with fish then you've got to know that once you get accustommed to a smal tank you will probably want a larger one. But if you dont take to your fish too well, or you fid out you aren"t the best Oceanologist, you'll end up having this humungo tank to worry about. So once you have chosen your tank size you must find out what shape tank you want here are some tank shapes:
As you can see tanks come in many shapes and sizes. Once you've chosen you're shape, you have to ask yourself, should i get a kit, or custom build my own. After you have decided to get a kit or go custom, you have to find what kind of fish you have to get. Next you must get the proper chemicals: water purifier, PH, ammonia, and alg So lets say you have your fish, your tank, and the necessary chemicals. You have to get you're tank set up. You bring all your frazzle and dazzle home and you get to work. Heres what you would do to set up a tank:
- Put the Tank on a Stand.
- Set up the Filter but Wait to Plug it in.
- Put Down the Gravel and the Decoratios.
- Fil the Tank With Water.
- Purify the Water.
- Put in the Chemical For Ammonia.
- Turn the Filter on and Insert the Fish.
- Put on the Lid and Turn on the Light.
- Watch your fish til you get bored.
